    I'm sorry but how can putting that much butter be good for your arteries? I'm doing a sort of lazy keto and it's working for me, but Im not comfortable shoving blocks of butter and a ton of cream in things. I know you need to get the fat in but that's mental.

    Don’t just settle for “coconut oil.” Look at the label, C8 & C10 MCT oil refers to two specific molecules in the oil, C8 & C10 meaning they have 8 or 10 carbon chain molecules respectively. You should specifically be looking for the coconut oil that contains only C8 &C10 oil or MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides). The cheaper coconut oils will have “other stuff” including C12 and higher carbon chain molecules to reduce manufacturing costs while still having an attractive “Keto” name on the label as well as other oils which are digested instead of absorbed. C8 and C10 MCTs are absorbed vs digested. They are ported straight to the liver (through the portal vein) which converts them into Ketones for the body’s use as energy instead of glucose. And yes, true MCT oil will cost more to refine out everything except those two oils.
